QUALITY HOMES AT A PRICE YOU CAN AFFORD
As the Grand Forks housing market began to move beyond the reach of most local workers, Grand Forks Community Land Trust was formed by advocates for affordable housing options that didn’t sacrifice quality or desirability. Through numerous focus groups and surveys, GFCLT reached out to their target market - working households earning approximately 60 - 120% area median income - to determine their needs and desired amenities. The results were clear: potential buyers were looking for well built homes where families could grow. They sought quality before size. They wanted to be near work places and popular amenities. They wanted to build equity but were not seeking a major return. Most of all, they wanted a home to call their own.
GFCLT is committed to providing affordable homes for families in Grand Forks County, ensuring payments of no more than 30% of a family’s gross monthly income at the time of purchase.
As an organization, GFCLT is committed to revitalizing formerly thriving neighborhoods in Grand Forks, thus the organization looks forward to acquiring a number of historic properties. If you know of a property that GFCLT may be interested in acquiring, contact us with details.
