CLTs make it possible for limited-income households to own homes. GFCLT participating households purchase and maintain ownership of homes on land that is leased from the CLT through long-term (typically 99-year), renewable ground leases. In a CLT arrangement, the homeowner holds the deed to his or her home but leases the land on which the home sits from the CLT.
Our work isn't possible without you.
Lenders play a critical role in our mission of making home ownership a reality for low and moderate income households. GFCLT is currently looking for participating lenders in the Grand Forks area. We always want our home buyers to feel comfortable in the lending process, and that means building as many partnerships as possible to give our buyers the options they desire. We would love to meet with you to provide some examples and clarification as your organization considers lending to CLT buyers.
