We are working to improve housing opportunities in Northwest Minnesota.
We need your input.
Opportunities to Share Your Ideas & Experiences
For the remainder of 2023, we will be focused on connecting directly with members of
the workforce in communities throughout Northwest Minnesota. If you or your group would like to connect with us, please provide your contact information below.
Our Project
Northwest Minnesota is full of economic opportunities, but housing is a barrier for many households who already work in or hope to begin working in the region. In partnership with the NW MN Multi-County HRA and the Northwest Regional Development Commission, GFCLT is currently collecting community feedback as we work to pursue potential solutions to our housing shortage. These conversations are an important step in helping us understand what those in our workforce are looking for in housing and what obstacles we could remove to help our much needed workforce live and work in our communities.
We are currently looking for in-person focus group or 1-on-1 conversation locations throughout the region, and we need your help engaging participants. Ideally, focus groups would last around 45-60 minutes, while 1-on-1 conversations would be about 10 minutes each.
This project is funded by the Northwest Minnesota Foundation and information is being compiled by the Northwest Regional Development Commission and the Northwest Minnesota Multi-County Housing and Redevelopment Authority. Contacts for the project are Emily Contreras and Crystal Bailly, who are carrying out this work via contract with NRDC. If you have questions regarding the process or how we will use this information, please contact Emily at [email protected]
